    Mr. Willis "Hunter" Cole, Jr., Age 77 passed away on Tuesday, He was born in Bladen County to Willis Hunter Cole, Sr. and Eloise Hair Cole on Septem He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Jean Cole Fisher. He is survived by his four children, Willis Hunter Cole, III and wife Sandy of Elizabethtown, Allan Hunter Cole of Denver, CO, Kitty .   Mrs. Sadie Adams Smith, lineal descendant of Henry Adams, , and Captain Samuel Wadsworth, ; also Paul Dustin and Rev. Robert Gordon, all of Massachusetts, wife of Le Roy Sunderland Smith, a lineal descendant of George Smith, son of John Smith, of Jamestown, Va., who settled Dover, N. H., , and maternally descendant of Gov. Benning.

    Among his charges was John Parke Custis, the step-son of George Washington, with whom he began a long and intimate ing to England, he was ordained by the bishop of London in March , and at once sailed again for America, where he remained until as rector of various Virginia and Maryland parishes, including Hanover, King George's county, .   He taught high standards and taught his people to love others and respect God's house. In retirement, he was employed at South Hills Mall for over 19 years. John was a talented gardner and wood craftsman. He was a current member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in the Friendship Community of Apex. He was the son of the late William and Velma Goss.
